Fanni Rottek. I work as a biochemical engineer in the technology and QM department at the sugar factory in Kaposvár.

Why did you decide to work in a technical profession?

I’m interested in the way things work. I’m always amazed how precisely and efficiently technologies and processes are designed. My aim is to understand the logic behind them and then to use this knowledge.

Which aspects of your everyday working life in a technical profession interest you most?

My responsibilities are varied. Part of my job is working on the computer, but laboratory and field work are also involved. We always face new challenges, so there’s always a way to evolve individually and as a team.

Can you share with us a tip why women should decide to work in a technical position?

If you are interested in this type of work, grasp the opportunity. It may be challenging, but it’s worth it.
