Why did you choose AGRANA for your internship?
Because I had already heard a lot about this company and I am interested in controlling.
How did you apply for the internship? How was the application process set up?
My class was informed by my accounting professor that there was still a vacant internship position in the Corporate Controlling department at AGRANA. Moreover she said that Ms. Wratschko would also be prepared to offer the internship to a blind person. After having sent my application to AGRANA, I was invited to an interview with Ms. Wratschko during which it was discussed which tasks I would be expected to perform.Together with a mobility trainer, I visited AGRANA before I started my internship so that I could find my way around the building ok.
Shortly describe a typical working day within your internship at AGRANA. What were your main tasks?
Every day held new challenges for me and I was able to gain experience every day. My main tasks were checking and comparing data, presenting the cash conversion cycle in a chronological form, working through customer accounts and coming up with proposals on which of the various customers could be added to one of the existing customer accounts.
What did you like most about your internship?
All of it! It could not have been better, from my nice work colleagues to my work tasks.
What kind of experiences can you take with you from the internship at AGRANA?
How comprehensive controlling is in such a large company and that it is totally different doing things in real-life rather than just working examples.
Would you recommend an internship at AGRANA? Why?
Absolutely!!
What advice would you give future interns?
Show an interest in the tasks given to you. Don't just do them - ask questions as well! This is how you really get an insight into work processes.
