Internship Mechanical Engineering in the Division Sugar

Why did you choose AGRANA for your internship?

I had always wanted to work at a large company and at AGRANA you see a lot as an intern.

How did you apply for the internship? How was the application process set up?

First, I sent my application with a covering letter, CV and mid-year report in January by e-mail to "Recruiting Tulln". Thereafter a message was sent by the HR management that my application will be held on file and I will be informed if I can start the internship in spring. I received confirmation that I can begin the internship and sent my documents (registration forms, etc.) by mail to the HR management and I received my contract as well.

Shortly describe a typical working day during your internship at AGRANA. What were your main tasks?

I started at 6:45 in the morning. At first there was a brief meeting with the other colleagues and experts regarding which activities were to be done and the work was divided. Mainly I raised ball bearings, lubricated conveyor belts and rebuilt transmissions.

What did you like most about your internship?

I was able to have an active part in the team to work on things and my colleagues, and supervisory were always nice.

What kind of experiences can you take with you from the internship at AGRANA?

It was fun to work on big things, because at school we often work only on smaller things (smaller scale).

Would you recommend an internship at AGRANA? Why?

Yes, for sure because it was a great environment and the colleagues are very nice and helpful.

What advice would you give future interns?

I can’t think of anything at the moment.
